Descendants of Captain Arthur Fenner
[b 20 Jan. 1767 at Cranston, RI; d 11 Aug. 1839 age 72 at Fairfield, NY] William was born in a portion of Cranston, Rhode Island, that later became Smithfield. At age 16, he married Asenith Jenks [b 1765; d 1802]. He and the entire family, except for his sister Phebe, moved to Fairfield, Herkimer Co., NY. He m 2nd Patience — [b 24 Feb. 1769 at Swansea, MA; d 19 Mar. 1841 in Fairfield, NY] on 26 May 26 1803 in Fairfield. William was in Shay’s Rebellion while at Adams, MA. He died at Fairfield and was buried in the Eatonville Cemetery with his mother, father, and Patience.
