Edward Fenner

 

[b 1736­/7 at Cranston, RI; d 31 May 1813, in his 77th yr.] Edward Fenner Jr. m 1st Dinah Potter, daughter of Capt. Abel Potter, on 14 Mar. 1757 at Cranston, RI. He m 2nd Welthian Colegrove, daughter of Stephen Colegrove, on 30 Mar. 1786. He was president of the Johnston Town Council in 1795 and the town treasurer for an unknown number of years. Brown University has a collection of papers related to Edward Fenner.

Children of Edward Fenner and Dinah Potter:

  1. Edward [b ca. 1760; d 19 Mar. 1782].

  2. Dinah [b 9 Nov. 1772; d 26 Nov. 1833] m Thomas Sprague, son of Hezekiah Sprague of Smithfield, on 27 Feb. 1794.

  3. John [b 27 Mar. 1778; d 22 Feb. 1858] married twice.
